Is Lago Martiánez a natural pool?

Lago Martiánez is a designed seawater leisure complex in Puerto de la Cruz. It is different from volcanic charcos and the coastal seawater pools in this guide; check its separate admission conditions.

Which natural pools are in southern Tenerife?

This guide includes La Jaquita in Alcalá, Guía de Isora, on the south-west coast. Do not confuse it with Playa de La Jaquita in El Médano. Most of the other pools listed are on the north coast.

Does low tide make every pool safe?

No. Tide, swell, wind, access restrictions and the individual basin all matter. Follow local flags, barriers and lifeguards. A good water-quality result does not establish safe access or sea conditions today.
